NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — A man listed on an FBI’s most-wanted list for his suspected involvement in a murder plot against Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has been arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with a different kidnapping case. Authorities said Yadav was taken into custody after an investigation linked him to the alleged abduction of a businessman. He was let out on bail soon after his arrest.
The case for kidnapping arose when the victim had filed a complaint that he was dragged away by force from his house and detained for ransom. Based on this, the police responded promptly in tracing the case to Yadav and his accomplices. During his arrest, investigators found that Yadav had been a familiar face within certain crime networks and was engaged in several illegal practices, including extortion and intimidation.
Yadav faces charges that include several kidnapping-related crimes, not to mention the murder conspiracy case. Indian authorities are in direct contact with the FBI over these matters.
The situation has reignited discussions over the growing nexus between criminal elements and political dissidents. Yadav’s arrest underlines the complex nature of transnational crime and its implications for US-India relations, especially given the Khalistani movement.
