MILWAUKEE (Diya TV) —

Former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped death during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday. The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired eight rounds from an AR-15 rifle, killing one attendee and critically injuring two others before being killed by a Secret Service sniper.

It was revealed that Trump, who was visibly injured, lost a significant chunk of his right ear in the attack. Blood was seen streaming down his cheek as he was quickly surrounded and assisted by Secret Service agents. After the shooting, Trump raised a bloodied fist and shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” before being hurried to his motorcade and taken to a hospital. Despite the trauma, Trump was released a few hours later in stable condition.

At the Republican National Convention shortly after the attack, Trump recounted the experience to his supporters. “I’m supposed to be dead,” he said. “The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle.”

He also gave thanks and praise to the Secret Service for gunning down the shooter immediately and coming in to tackle and cover Trump “like linebackers.” The former president noted that the agents hit him so hard that his shoes fell off.

Public figures from both the Democratic and Republican parties have called for increased security for presidential candidates as the assassination attempt is being investigated as a potential act of domestic terrorism.

Neighbors of the 20-year-old Crooks were shocked by the news as they noted that he kept to himself and had no clear political affiliations. No definitive motive has been established.

Authorities continue to investigate Crooks’ background and potential motives.
